Automations
Have your outreach run without you
An automation works a lead for you: the calls, texts, and follow-ups that would otherwise be yours to make. One automation runs on a lead at a time.
Start one on a lead
- Open the lead.
- Find the automation you want. Exact Match means the lead is sitting exactly where that workflow is built to start. Close Match means the workflow runs on this step but on a different status.
- Click Start.
The cost in credits is on the card before you press it. Nothing shows there for an automation your agency already paid for as part of the lead.
Let them start themselves
Instead of starting each one by hand, you can have an automation fire the moment a lead reaches its trigger.
- Open Sales and go to the Automations tab.
- Find the workflow and turn its switch on.
The tab groups workflows by the step they start from and says what each one triggers on. Switching one on is a standing instruction for your own leads, so new leads get worked without you opening them.
Take a lead back
- Open the lead.
- Click Cancel on the active automation.
- Confirm.
The provider is told to stop working the lead, and the actions go back to being yours. Do this whenever you want to handle someone personally.
Why Start is greyed out
| Reason | What to do |
|---|---|
| Another automation is running on the lead | Cancel it first, or wait for it to finish |
| The lead is not at a status that workflow starts from | Work the lead to where it needs to be, or pick a workflow under Exact Match |
| The lead is resolved | Nothing starts on a closed lead |
| It says no automations are available for this stage | Your agency has not enabled any that run on leads at this step |
What it costs
Priced automations say so on the card, in credits per run, before you start them. Starting one by hand bills whoever clicked Start. An automation that fires on its own bills whoever the lead is assigned to.
