WAR report
Log the work you did outside the app
The WAR is your daily activity report. Onsidian already counts everything you did in the app, so your job is to add the work it could not see: calls from a personal phone, sits booked in person, anything done while the app was closed.
Fill out your WAR
- Open Sales and go to the WAR tab.
- Check the date at the top. It defaults to today, so change it if you are filling in a day you missed.
- Leave the view on Manual.
- Find the card for the lead type you worked and open it.
- Enter your numbers. Every field has a question under it saying exactly what to count.
- Click Save.
The Save button counts how many cards you have changed, so you can fill in several lead types and save them all at once.
Do not enter work the app already counted
This is the single most common mistake. Anything you did from inside Onsidian is already counted, and entering it again doubles it.
Switch the view to Automatic to see what the app recorded for the day, broken down by lead type. That view is read-only. If a number there looks wrong, the fix is in the lead, not here.
Which field to use
| Field | Count |
|---|---|
| Total outreach attempts | Every call and text, including repeats to the same lead and the ones nobody picked up |
| Unique leads called and texted | Each different lead once, however many times you tried them |
| Unique leads successfully contacted | Only the ones who picked up or replied |
| Total appointments set | Every appointment booked, including the ones you presented on the spot |
| Instant appointments | The ones you took on the spot. These are already part of the number above, so enter them in both |
| Presentations completed | Every household you presented to, whether or not they bought |
| Sales | Presentations that ended in a sale. Trial sales do not go here |
| Trial sales | Presentations that ended in a trial sale |
| ALP and AHP | Life and health premium from your sales |
| Trial ALP and Trial AHP | Life and health premium from your trial sales |
| Referrals collected | Names and numbers the people you presented to gave you |
Two calls and a text to one lead is 3 outreach attempts and 1 unique lead. Three leads called with one answering is 1 successfully contacted.
If you didn't track which lead types you called
Use the Uncategorized outreach card at the top. It only asks for outreach numbers, and it exists for a day of dialing you never tagged.
Enter numbers under the right lead type whenever you can. An appointment or a sale always comes off one lead whose type you know, so those never belong in the uncategorized card.
If the day is split into two halves
A reporting week turns over at a set time on a set day, and a day that contains that moment belongs to two weeks. When that happens you get a Before and an After control at the top, labelled with the cutoff time on your own clock.
Pick the half you are entering work for, fill it in, and save. Then switch to the other half for the rest of that day's work. Numbers entered in the wrong half land in the wrong reporting week.
Who sees it
Your manager can read your WAR, and its numbers roll up into agency reports. Filling it in daily is what keeps those numbers worth reading.
