Adding a lead

Put a lead you got yourself into the CRM

Use this for a referral, a walk-in, or anyone you met who is not already in the system. It lands under Leads, assigned to you, with the status New.

Got a list rather than one person? Upload it instead.

  1. Open Sales and go to the Leads step.
  2. Click New Lead.
  3. Choose the lead type. This decides which presentation deck the lead gets and which bucket it counts under on your WAR and reports. See lead types.
  4. Choose the language.
  5. Fill in their first name, last name, and phone.
  6. Choose their state. This is what sets the products and rates in the presentation, so it has to be where they live, not where you are.
  7. Fill in email, address, city, and ZIP if you have them. These are optional.
  8. Click Create.

Lead type, language, first name, last name, phone, and state are all required. The Create button stays greyed out until each one is filled.

Adding several at once

For a list you already have in a spreadsheet, upload it. Leads your agency buys arrive on their own and are handed out from distribution.

If it says the lead is a possible duplicate

The lead is still created, but it is flagged because its phone, email, or name and state match a lead that already exists. Open it and answer the review with Not duplicate or Confirm duplicate. Until that is answered, the review is the only thing the lead offers and no automation will start on it.
