Lead types
The lead types and the values to write in a file
Every lead has a type, and it is the field the rest of the lead hangs off. It picks the presentation the lead runs, the card you fill in on your WAR, and the bucket it counts under on every report.
A lead's type is set when the lead is created and cannot be changed afterwards, so it is worth getting right the first time.
The types
The Value is what you write in the type column when you upload a list. Anything else in that column is rejected.
| Value | Lead type |
|---|---|
fwk | Free Will Kit |
fwk_digital | Digital FWK |
csk | Child Safe Kit |
br | Beneficiary Referral |
union | Union |
union_catchup | Union Catch-Up |
ncr | Referral |
pos | POS |
dcard | Discount Card |
fe | Final Expense |
globe | Globe |
Your agency may not work all of them. The ones you see in the Lead type dropdown when you create a lead are the ones turned on for you, and that dropdown is the list to trust.
What the type changes
The presentation. Each type has its own deck, which is its own slides and its own script. Launching a presentation on a lead opens the deck for that lead's type, so a Child Safe Kit lead and a Final Expense lead are two different conversations.
Your WAR. The WAR is one card per lead type. A call made on a dcard lead belongs on the Discount Card card, and nowhere else. See the WAR report.
Your reports. Lead type is both a breakdown and a filter, which is how you find out which types are worth your time. See reports.
What you can see at a glance. The Leads step shows the type on every row and filters by it.
