Uploading applicants
Create a whole list of applicants at once from a CSV
Upload a CSV and create the whole list in one go. Works the same for resumes and questionnaires; the one you upload from is the stage they start in.
Upload a file
- Go to Recruiting and open the Resumes or Questionnaires stage.
- Click Add Resume (or Add Q-aire) and switch to Upload.
- Choose the Format that matches your file. See file formats below.
- Pick the Source category and Source detail for the batch if the format asks for them. Some formats set the source themselves.
- Choose who the batch is assigned to. Leave it on Unassigned to send them to the agency pool.
- Check the TCPA box if the people in the file consented to automated texting.
- Click Choose file, pick your CSV, and review the preview. It shows how many rows are valid and lists any that will be skipped.
- Click Import.
File formats
Match the Format to the file you were given. The columns have to line up with what that format expects.
Standard
The standard Onsidian format. You choose the source category and source detail in the form, and that is applied to everyone in the file.

For applicants that came from CSS. The whole batch is recorded as external, sourced from CSS, so the Source controls do not appear in the form.

When the import finishes you get a summary of how many applicants were created, how many were flagged, and how many could not be imported.
A row is flagged as a possible duplicate when it matches someone already in the CRM by phone, by email, or by first name, last name, and state together. Flagged applicants are still created; they go to duplicate review so you can confirm or dismiss the match instead of losing the row.
Rows that could not be imported are the ones skipped during the preview: a missing required field, or a state that is not a real state.
